Two views, one herd

Livestock focuses on individual animals. Pastures (separate home card) groups by barn and grazing unit.

Summary cards

Total animals, lactating, pregnant, average health — click to apply preset filters.

Advanced filters

Age/weight ranges and sliders for health, metabolism, fertility, quality, productivity.

Animals table

DataTable with sort, pagination, View for details, Export for records.

Per-shed counts, birth warnings, and combined livestock modal.

Summary & quick filters

The top row is your dashboard for the herd. Click Total animals for the full list, or Lactating / Pregnant for one-click slices. Average health stays read-only as a KPI.

  • Show / hide filters for fine control
  • Active filter chips + Reset filters
  • Optional mods (e.g. Ritter's Livestock) add modal fields when present

Filters

Narrow the herd in seconds

Set numeric ranges for age and weight, dual-handle sliders for health and productivity, pick an animal type, then Apply filters. The table below updates — sort any column and open View for the full animal modal.

Pastures

Sheds, counts & warnings

Open Pastures from the home screen. Summary cards show total pastures, active livestock, birth warnings, and average health. Each pasture card opens animals in that unit; View all livestock spans every shed.

  • Ideal for dairy/beef loops between field work

How to use

Livestock workflow

  1. Open Livestock from home.
  2. Use summary cards or open the filter panel.
  3. Apply filters, browse the table, click View.
  4. Use Export when you need a file (see user manual).

Pastures workflow

  1. Open Pastures from home.
  2. Check birth warnings on the summary row.
  3. Click a pasture card for that shed only.

Check the herd between field jobs

Leave the app open on a second monitor or enable LAN for a tablet on the same Wi‑Fi.
